The excavation plan should match the approved drawings and the conditions found on site.
Before digging, the team reviews access for equipment and trucks, required utility locates, soil conditions, the intended depth and how excavated material will leave the property. On tight urban lots, neighbouring structures and available working space can also affect the sequence of work.
Once the site is ready, excavation proceeds to the planned grades and dimensions. The next phase may require inspections, shoring, forming or drainage work depending on the project; those requirements should be established with your designer and municipality before construction begins.

BackfillOnce walls are poured and approved, the hole needs to close back up properly. We backfill and compact in stages and remove excess soil off-site — so nothing settles, shifts, or pools water against your new foundation later.
